Windows Mobile: Train for the Trainer…Why?

I still don’t understand the logic behind Microsoft Windows Mobile marketing? The fact that Microsoft has are 2 sites covering WM, just simply enforces the well spread negative message that WM is hard to use.

Granted, the WM is very capable. One could target IT specialist and the other one targets consumers. But I don’t see that clear distinction between the two.  While you can find valuable resources in both (the navigation is not really intuitive for average user), they are not even in sync:

WindowsMobileTraining.com has WM6 / WM5 but WindowsMobile.com covers only WM5 while WM6 has been released for while. I have 2 simple questions:

  1. Why managing 2 separate Web sites, both are accessible for general public
  2. There are some nice tutorial videos, why not allowing embedded so thousands of blogs out there can help WM to spread the knowledge. Look at Apple, they have all their how-to videos (especially the ones helping to migrate from Windows to MacOS) on iTunes, Google videos…
