Google search has become a household name, however lately Google seems to focus in other areas and leave their search engine untouched.

We believe, the search has evolved as we introduced to you Oskope and Ask.com as examples.
Today we introduce ManagedQ, a project founded by few Stanford grads. They call ManagedQ a “Search Application” to contrast with traditional search engines.

A Search Application is dedicated to helping you manage your entire Search Experience: from the keyword, to results, to previewing, to refinement and repeating with a new query.

The above pictures display the search results base on the same query. On the left, Google simply barf a pile of links and descriptions and say “Good Luck”. On the right ManagedQ returns the same results (on bottom of each thumbnail).

However, user can further refine the search results by selection of people, places or things with proposed tags under each category

This is particularly helpful when you want to explore a Web site, look for the author (People), The subjects (Place, Thing)..

The best way to better understand ManagedQ capabilities is to go through the 30-second tutorial HERE!
