Delete Duplicate Contacts With DupeDeDupe
If you have gone through the “hard reset” your WM device a couple of times, You probably felt the pain of delete duplicate your PIM information.
There are several utilities out there to delete the duplicate entries from Outlook desktop including the freeware called Outlook Duplicate Items Remover. This utility works on calendar entries, contacts, tasks, notes, email folders, etc.. The process, in general takes a long time for an average business user computer.
Paul at Modaco just made available a lightweight utility that runs on your Windows Mobile called DupeDeDupe, which only looks in to fields such File As, Email, and phone numbers to find match and to eliminate the duplicate records.
I ran on my device, which has over 800 contacts, it only took few seconds to scan the contact list and it found 2, the utility did not tell you which ones got deleted. (I wish the author would show the entries first). Of course, this utility can be used once after each hard reset and resync. You can uninstalled until your next time. The utility is available at Modaco forum

To Whom It May Concern:I am trying to delete repeated contacts in my contacts?
Thank you David
Thanks for this very helpful post. I’m very glad to hear this from you. I have the same problem before and I also found a useful tool called Scrubly Duplicate remover. The process is simple; it scans your Gmail contact folders and look for duplicate contacts. If Scrubly finds any exact or Compatible Contacts, it will remove or merge them automatically. They even have a back up so I can have the original copy just in case. You can also refer this for other issues. Thanks again for this article
