HP: Sorry, No WM6.1 Update to Current iPaqs

In a conversation between Brighthand’s Ed Hardy and Mike Hockey, Hewlett-Packard’s Worldwide Public Relations Manager. Hockey confirms there will be no WM6.1 upgrade offered to the current line of iPaq. However, he hints that HP commits to long term relationship with Microsoft Mobile and future iPaqs will come with WM6.1.

This is a joke so iv’e just spent £250 on a brand new top model ipaq which is only a month old and i’m not going to be able to upgrade it to 6.1 when theres functionality issues with 6 and this ipaq i’m appawled!

Sad though it will be, I don’t think HP will survive the recession.
Their aftercare has always been appalling and the early casualties of The Crunch here in the UK have one thing in common: terrible customer care.
Customers just don’t forget. It’s not just home users either. The IT department in the hospital near to my office hates HP too.
