Skype Beta for Java Phone Available
Skype, the ubiquitous VoIP solution for the desktop and a handful mobile devices such Windows Mobile to call worldwide over Internet. Today Skype has just made available a beta client version for Java based phones such the Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola.
The phones need a data plan (Internet capable). User can see when the contacts are online; Instant message or call them using Skype.;
While the domestic calls on the cellphone don’t justify the main use of Skype, the key thing is to save on mobile calls to friends and family overseas.
Until now, to use Skype on their mobile phone (on cellular network) user needs the Skype Pro subscription. But with this Beta there will be no need for it.
