DIY Flying Like E.T. Project
An engineer named Mike cleverly designed a mountain bike filled up with wireless sensor equipments to control his flying of Google Earth Flight Simulator.
The heart of his modified bike is the SunSPOT (Sun; Small Programmable Object Technology) device running a Java app.

Zune has been offering the Zune Pass, an “all-you-can-eat” plan that lets users download and listen to tunes as long as they pay a small monthly fee. The tunes are controlled by DRM. However, users have the possibility to purchase the tunes in DRM free format if they want to keep and own the tunes.
Napster (the legal version) so far has offered the only subscription plan, but this is about to change with the launch of its MP3 music store, which carries over 6 millions DRM-free tunes from all four major music labels as well as independent artists. The DRM-free (256kbps MP3) cost 99 cents per unit.
The combined subscription-to-buy plan is really a great model for consumers and this is something that Apple iTunes nor Amazon MP3 don’t have. The only problem I see here is the Napster supported devices are limited and the Zune is still struggling for its adoption!

The installation can be done (or safely undone) in 2 Cab files:
You’d first install the gullum_diamond_keys cab file and then your language specific cab file.
(several languages available to choose from, but unfortunately, not all of them support all the features)

Netflix, the popular DVD movie rental by mail in the US has just released their set-top-box to $8.95 (or more) subscribers for $100.
The device allows user to stream unlimited movie contents to their TV set over wire or wireless home network. Previously streaming movie was only possible via the desktop Internet Browser.
While the option is far more attractive than the competitive offerings from Apple TV, Vudu, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Amazon Unbox, which are either pay-per-view, limited viewing time, etc..The NetFlix box still has some limitations:
- Only less than 10% of 100,000 plus titles can be streamed
- No HD quality
The first hardware device is made by Roku, but other manufacturers such LG will be included with perhaps additional capabilities later this year.
