		<description>Alot of patents is just as simple as keeping other people from doing anything even remotely similar to a product.  I&#039;m an engineer and when we&#039;re writing a patent for application, we say how we are going to make it, then we say it COULD be done this way or this way and this portion of it COULD be done this way, etc.  In making brake disks, we never really plan on making them a way that includes 20 different machining processes, but we write it in the patent that we could do it that way to keep other companies from sneaking through the back door and making the same product only manufacturing it in a different manner.</description>
