Last night on CNN TV, Larry King brought up the issue whether the Cellphone is dangerous of safe for your health. The debate was taken place among scientists and doctors in the field of neurology.

There were again, no conclusive facts. Click HERE to watch the debate!

“While research abounds and some tests have shown that cell phone radio frequency (RF) could accelerate cancer in laboratory animals, the studies have not been able replicated. Cell phones can affect internal pacemakers, but there is not conclusive or demonstrated evidence that they cause adverse health affects in humans. Conversely, there is not conclusive or demonstrated evidence that they don’t cause adverse health affects in humans. So, in short, the jury is still out, research is ongoing, and we will continue to monitor its results.”   (CNet Cellphone Quick Guide).

Since we are in the election season, we can call the health danger of cellphone is still “too close to call”, but if you are somewhat concerned about your health, some experts suggest the best way to avoid adverse affect with radiation is to use of a wired headset and carry your phone in an holster.

Alternatively, Bluetooth headset, while emitting a very weak radiation, it is still better than putting the phone against your ear.

According to the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA), specific absorption rate, or SAR, is “a way of measuring the quantity of Radio Frequency (RF) energy that is absorbed by the body.” For a phone to pass FCC certification, that phone’s maximum SAR level must be less than 1.6W/kg (watts per kilogram). In Europe, the level is capped at 2W/kg while Canada allows a maximum of 1.6W/kg. The SAR level listed in the below charts represents the highest SAR level with the phone next to the ear as tested by the FCC. (Courtesy Cnet Cellphone Quick Guide).
