image Until now, unless your Windows Mobile is covered by corporate Exchange 2007 with the remote wipe function, you are running the risk of  having your personal data compromised in case of lost.

I just discover a new freeware called iSMSserver, a small client you can install on your mobile device and it lets you interact with your device with SMS text messaging sent by another device including hard reset command. Don’t worry, you have to include a security password in the text message along with the command, so there is not must risk for mistake.

In addition, you can use SMS to send other useful commands such:

  • Get phone number by name in contacts
  • Get name by phone number in contact
  • Add contact to phone
  • Add task to phone
  • Add appointment
  • Get next appointment
  • Beep
  • Hard Reset
  • Resend
  • Internet
  • Run

The syntax of a SMS command should be in the format: “password, command, parameters”.
For example, the command “mypassword, addcontact,Magen Fox,+13105679872? (where ‘mypassword’ is your secret password) will add a contact called Magen Fox with the phone number ,+13105679872 to your mobile phone’s address book.
