Engadget Mobile Confirms TouchFLO 3D is Lagging

image Several sources including the latest Hands-on review by Engadget, stating the HTC Touch Diamond strong suit’s UI interface suffers response time lagging.

“..Talking about user input for a moment, we were bothered with just a hint of lag throughout the system, which made tapping on things and entering text vaguely frustrating..”

But when I watch the 7-day review video from HERE, the video shows very good response time. The only difference is all the “bad experience” reports seems to come from all US reviewers using the imported device that is not intended for the US market.

Personally, It doesn’t matter how sleek the UI is when there is lag of responsiveness, it is worthless!

HTC, 2 lessons to learn from the iPhone:

  1. Make sure your UI is speedy before getting too fancy
  2. Test your device before it gets to the hand of bloggers

This is very damaging advertisement for the “HTC-device-of-the-year”. I hope both Microsoft and HTC address this problem without delay.
