Bankrupt gadget retailer Sharper Image plans to close all its remaining stores, its new owners announced Sunday.

The ailing retailing stores Sharper Image filed Chapter 11 for bankruptcy protection last February now has decided to close the remaining stores nationwide.

The inventory was sold to a private group to developed a new licensing strategy for wholesale, retail, direct-to-retail, e-commerce, and catalog businesses under a new name.
