Startbucks Now Offers Free Wi-Fi

The Starbucks & AT&T on-and-off WiFi offers now has come to a happy ending.   Starting Tuesday, with a minimum purchase of $5 of reloadable Starbucks card, customer can get free WiFi for their surfing pleasure.

Here comes the fine line: Registration online is required   and user must use the card at least once a month. The two hours must be consecutive. New members also receive a voucher for a free drink.

The move is an attempt to entice its shrinking customer base due to business downturn and perhaps the $1 McDonald’s gourmet coffee.

“Customers have let us know they want to be recognized for choosing Starbucks,” says Brad Stevens, vice president of customer relationships. Particularly, he says, at a time when “budgets are tight.”
