Who would’ve known the still-undefined category mini low cost laptop would be the one of the hottest trends for 2008. The MSI is the latest craze, the small unit sporting the latest Intel Atom 1.6MHz, respectable 10″ 1024×600 LED illuminated display. WiFi (b/g), Bluetooth, Webcam. 512MB/1GB. Weighting under 2.6 lbs; 5+ HR battery life, Windows XP, almost full size keyboard, and 80G hard drive all for under $500.
By June 16th, you can pick the The Windows version of the Wind is priced at $499 at www.msimobile.com. The Linux based models of the Wind will be available at the same site (unfortunately) later for $399.
My wife and kids already asked why I keep humming: “Wind underneath my wings” and “No AIr” … go figure!
