The Roller Coaster Tale About The Diamond Continues…
Hopefully this is the last time I talk about this contradicting performance reports until I have the unit in hand to test myself.
Mitchell Oke form GearDiary (US based) posted his latest first hands-on experience on the HTC Touch Diamond loaded with the latest ROM (according to Mitchell without showing actually the ROM version). And he gave the final remark:
“On the whole I’m a bit disappointed at this point. It just feels too slow, and the signal issues are driving me crazy. Perhaps a ROM update will come out soon to fix these things, it has happened before. I will report back when I have used the Diamond for a bit longer.”
I am a little bit disappointed about the slowness of HTC official PR reaction to this. As always folks from XDA have come-up with tweaks to improve the UI speed as reported HERE. (but I don’t think user should have to do any hacks…).
Hey mate, just wanted to let you know Gear Diary is based in the US, but I am in fact in Australia (hence 3G works for me).
Also I added the ROM version I am using to the article.
