Weekend Watch: Stealth B2 Bomber Crash Video
On February 23, 2008, a U.S. Air Force B-2 Stealth Bomber crashed as it was taking off from an Anderson Air Force Base in Guam. The pilot had minor injuries and the co-pilot had a spinal compression fracture but was treated and released from the hospital. The crash was expensive, as there are only 21 B-2 stealth bombers left and each costs about $1.2 billion to build. The incident cause was determined to be the excessive moisture that distorted information being fed to key airplane sensors.
