Early US HTC Touch Diamond Adopters Rejoice: Unlock 850 MHz Band Possible

The first batch of HTC Touch Diamond  was targeting to Europe and Asia markets as a tri-band device. The radio did not have the 850 MHz band  that US is using for the GSM network.

Sadly, contrary to the first HTC claim that the radio hardware was not capable for 850 MHz  Folks at XDA-Developers have proven this is not the case. They just made available the ROM that enables the 850 MHz. Only Edge is supported, no 3G or HSDPA available yet. But be patient..They might be able to fix it . You can follow and download the ROM from this XDA-Developers thread.
