Today, with sadness I learned Randy Pausch has died.

Carnegie Mellon University professor Randy Pausch, diagnosed last year with incurable pancreatic cancer (a form of liver cancer) and being told he only has a few months to live. On September 17, 2007 he gave a motivational and moving final lecture as a professor at CMU (Carnegie Mellon University).

As my friend Jacob Morgan points out. Here how he has learned from Randy Pausch:

• put friends and family first above anything else
• spend less time worrying about material things
• spend more time thinking about the positive things in life
• live life with more kindness in my heart
• try to be more patient
• try to help others
