VLC is a cross platform open source media player that can play virtually all the video/audio formats. But it does not stop there, VLC can do many other things quite nicely that we might not know. We covered some of its capabilities here:
- VLC can plays high-definition video content as your desktop wallpaper similar to Windows DreamScene.
- VLC is skinnable to look like WMP 11
- VLC can be a portable media player (run from USB stick)
