Delta Will Feature In-flight WiFi
Delta Airlines announces plan to deploy in-flight WiFi by mid 2009 to its 330 aircraft fleet.
The WiFi service will cost $9.95 on short flights (three hours or less) and $12.95 on others. There is no speed or bandwidth specifications available at the announcement.
When the airlines start taking off behind the seat entertainment devices to save weight and cost, the WiFi enablement might be the solution to keep passenger entertained and making up some badly needed revenues. [Via News.com]
