HTC Dream Powered by Google Android: Clear for Take Off
According to Engadget Mobile, the most anticipated HTC phone powered by Google Android OS has been approved by FCC.
| The handset is listed as type, "Dream" with a model of "DREA100." The same model also appears with a WiFi Interoperability Certificate touting 802.11b/g WiFi. |
The certificate indicates the unit is compliant with Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) to Bluetooth. With the help of EDR, Bluetooth 2.0 and newer devices currently communicate at approximately 3.0 megabits/second (in real life situations, they have an effective rate of around 2.1 megabits/second). The first certification is based on the GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA 1700 bands — the latter being T-Mobile’s preferred 3G frequency. [Via Engadget]
