iPhone App for SugarSync Available
The cross platform sync solution that we covered many times here, now extends to iPhone. SugarSync allows real-time file synchronization between your PC, Mac, Phone, Web and now iPhone and iPod Touch.
SugarSync gives you fast, always-on access to all your computers from your iPhone or iPod Touch — even when your computers are turned off. View Word, Excel, PowerPoint & PDF files, photos and more — all wirelessly, no manual syncing or cables required! Finally, you can cut the cord and enjoy real over-the-air remote file access. Access as many computers as you like from one simple interface, without using up memory on your iPhone.
SugarSync gives you the freedom to share any of your files and photos from your iPhone while leaving your laptop behind. In just a couple clicks, you can share any of your files or photos with anyone — even files that are too big to send via email. You can send any type of file, including high resolution images and videos, files, even if the computer the file originated on is turned off.
Where other backup solutions stop at putting your files online, SugarSync is just getting started. Now those files and photos are not only securely backed up, but you can also take them with you using your iPhone for instant viewing and sharing — without ever using a sync cable. SugarSync works in the background on your computers so your files and photo collections are constantly up to date without requiring any manual scheduling or syncing. The instant you make a change on your computer, it’s also made on your iPhone, so you know you always have the latest version available.
If you already are subscriber, just download the iPhone/iPod Touch App HERE. If not, you can try SugarSync for free for 45 days HERE!

Since my message was removed from the Sugar Sync blog site (offended by honesty…), I’ll put my thoughts here.
When was the last time the WM client was updated? Since the vast majority of users that have Windows Mobile smartphones are more likely to be business people (or customers for sugarsync), why bother developing the iphone platform so much? Most people that I know that have iphones don’t use it for productivity, just to play with.
I am a paying sugarsync user with what I feel to be a half solution for Windows Mobile.
I’m not coming down only on SugarSync. I find the same thing happening to Evernote and a host of other programs who’s developers recently “forgot” about their Windows Mobile market.
Dan, I see here the last update was Apr/2008:

There is nothing wrong for SS to develop other platforms since it is their slogan “across platforms”. If there is problem with your WM client. Can you add here. I can contact SSync to get an answer for you.
That’s actually an older desktop release, a newer one was launched recently, but the Windows Mobile client hasn’t been updated in 6+ months. It’s as basic as can be.
There’s nothing wrong with them developing for multiple platforms, but when features like not being able to select the photo’s I want to upload on my WM device are missing, it makes me wonder how thinly spread the development team must be trying to satisfy all these OS’s.
When feature requests or support questions are posted on the SugarSync forums, weeks can go by with no response by the developers. It leaves the users high and dry and feeling as if the product is going south.
I will contact SugarSync to express your concern.
I’ve installed the iPhone client from AppStore on my 3G 2.0.1 device with succes.
But when I try to start this client, it ‘bounces’ (kills the app?) back to the SpringBoard.
