NYT: Android is Coming To T-Mobile Store Near You

The Android powered HTC phone will indeed make its appearance at early as October to seize the holiday shopping season opportunity. The source of this news come from the company briefing meeting explaining their future plans. The unit is currently under FCC approval process.
We don’t know if this will have the same instant success as the Apple iPhone, nevertheless it creates a milestone for a new “open source” phone OS platform to make its debut with heavy backing by Google and secondly, HTC so far has heavily favored Microsoft Windows Mobile OS, starts to branch out to open source OS.
Below is an old demo of Android OS using Google Map street view.
