By September, if the rumor is true, you will probably see Microsoft rolls out new pricing on the entire line of Xboxes. For a console with no hard drive, the price could be $199; for one with a 60GB hard drive, it could be $299; and the high-end model, known as the Elite, with a 160GB hard drive, could go for $399.
This will move the Xbox to a lower price point than the current Nintendo Wii (priced at $249). But I am sure one should expect the competition will adjust their pricing accordingly. It will be interesting to see Sony reacts with its PS3 reacts, which is the only one that includes a Blu-ray player. [Source ArsTechnica]

Not sure how long I’ll be waiting for this console as my paycheck has arrived…however, would also be right on time for those planning on purchasing one as an early christmas present.
