SimplifyMedia: Share Your iTunes over the Web and iPhone

Granted iTunes has “Sharing” option to allow sharing music on the same network between 2 iTunes desktop. But what happen if the 2 computers are across town or continents?

image Today, I listened TWIT Podcast, where I learned about SimplifyMedia, which provides a client software that works exactly like the sharing feature in iTunes but SimplifyMedia works across networks.

You can download the client and you can invite up to 30 iTunes owned friends to share your music libraries. When the peers are online they can see each other playlists and will be able to stream each other’s music libraries.

I installed Simplify Media a while back (beta version) and it works great. In terms of legality, all the music is streamed to the computer on the receiving end – they don’t actually have the ability to save or copy it. Great program!

I was not impressed.
