Steve Jobs: MobileMe Launch was a Timing Mistake
In an internal memo, Arstechnica points out Apple CEO’s Steve Jobs admitted the launch of MobileMe at large scale at the same time of the 3G iPhone launch was a mistake.
Jobs acknowledged flaws in MobileMe and said the launch of the service could have been handled better, the article said. He also admitted the service was "not up to Apple’s standards." And he said the individual MobileMe services could have been rolled out slowly instead of launching them all at once.
MobileMe is a subscription service that allow iPhone users to synchronize email, calendar, contacts and files across desktop, Web and their iPhone.The service was criticized for its reliability and consistency among early adopters.
