Tip: Make Firefox 3 Bookmarks Available to Launchy

image Launchy offers a very convenient way to launch your programs, bookmarks and your directories in Windows. I realized since I upgraded to Firefox 3, Launchy has not been able to detects my bookmarks. I found out that FF3 store the bookmarks the same way as FF2 did and Launchy can not index them.

The HackCollege blog has a solution: In Firefox 3, open a new tab and enter about:config  Change the browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML value from false to true to get a bookmarks.html file saved to your Firefox profile directory each time you shut down your browser. This hack will allow Launchy to proper index your bookmarks again!  [Via LifeHacker]
