ASUS’s 2 Punches for Your Shopping Craving
Fall is right about the time to get ready for shopping season, ASUS announced a price cut on it SSD EeePC 901 and a new Windows Mobile phone, the P552w.
Starting to day, for cloud computing fans, the Asus Netbook EeePC 901, with 12GB SSD, 1GB RAM, Atom 1.6 GHz, 8.9” display and larger battery will go for $499 that is a bout $100 cheaper than before.
If 12GB is not quite enough for your music and movies, the EeePC 1000H can go as little as $450 with larger screen and 80GB of spinning hard drive.
On the smartphone side, Asus also announced the Windows Mobile 6.1 powered P5552w, which has a striking resemblance to the HTC Touch minus the TouchFLO.
The core of this device is the 624MHz processor, roughly 3 times faster than the processor that powers the HTC Touch.
Along with the powerful processor and the 2.8” QVGA touch screen, user can find 3.5 G HSDPA network connection, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 256GB RAM + Mini SD, 2MP camera and WiFi b/g are also on board. And as a familiar move lately, another finger flickering interface will be used to ride over WM’s UI and hopefully with extra horse power, this interface does not suck like others.
