Google Picasa Names The Face In Your Photos
Later today, Google will be launching the new version of its Photo service Picasa (Web and Client 3.0) that actually can automatically put a name tag to all your photos, once you fist gave a name to a face.
"Once you’ve started naming people, we’ll start suggesting names for you based on similarity," said Mike Horowitz, Google’s Picasa product manager. "The process of naming people is really addictive and tremendously fun."
Name tagging would allow faster search and display the photo relevant to each person, the question is how well the technology works to identify the human ever changing face (ask Micheal Jackson!).
Another exciting feature is the Picasa slideshow will have the capability to export to YouTube video (Yay!)
