Joost Ditches Desktop Client

With more and more video streaming services over the Web browser including the Hulu, Joost understands quickly that asking viewers to install another piece of software to watch will not be successful.

According to a insider source, GigaOm shared with us that  Joost will ditch that model and will go Web based only. Joost has been using a P2P delivery mechanism. In order to ensure the best viewing experience it will ask users to install a small browser Plug-in.
