image While the browser world evolves at a furious pace with Chrome, Safari, WebKit, Firefox, Opera, etc..Last Wednesday, Microsoft “proudly” announced later this year Microsoft will release Internet Explorer 6 for Windows Mobile, yes you hear it right IE6.

Look at the bright side, By going to IE6 standard (or rather non standard compliance) Microsoft IE6 mobile will be using the full IE 6 rendering engine, meaning that any page that renders properly in IE 6 on the PC should do just fine on Windows Mobile. According to Tim McDonough, a senior director in Microsoft’s Windows Mobile unit. The new crop of WVGA might take advantage of this.

The other plus is Microsoft promises IE6 Mobile will offer Flash support (but not Silverlight) for Youtube Fans.

IE6 mobile will work on both touchscreen (Pro) and non-touchscreen (Standard).
