New Hints on Microsoft Cross Platform Entertainment Experience

Again, a job posting on the corporate Web site has given indicators what the company is working on. Microsoft gives the below hints in this job listing:

“The Zune team is embarking on the mission to create a “Connected Entertainment” experience, realized through the Zune service, that spans multiple devices such as Zune, Xbox, PC and Mobile phones. We are a rapidly growing, V1 product team with great opportunities for motivated individuals who can hit the ground running!”

We think this mission is the result of recent J. Allard promotion from the VP of Zune and Xbox division to the Chef Experience Officer & Chief Technology Officer, for the Entertainment and Devices Division, which includes Zune, Xbox 360 and Windows Mobile.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Xbox 360 marketplace will be accessible to WM devices, Zune will have a smartphone capabilities, both WM and Zune can be part of game interaction with Xbox 360 over the web, and of course, all can be synchronized over a Mesh network, etc..
