Android-G1 Short take Impressions

Few Web celebrities have started receiving the G1 phone before the rest of us. Ryan Block from GDGT just had it and gave his first impressions about the overall hardware & software of the unit.

His impressions (from a geek point of view) are fairly positive on the hardware except the annoying lack of 3.5mm audio outlet, which is unacceptable at this stage of the game. On the software side, Google apps seem very snappy and comparable to the iPhone. The speed actually distances the iPhone and the G1 way ahead of Windows Mobile and S60 (prior to the 5th generation). Ryan also notices the Web browsing experience can not compare with iPhone Safari with the multi-touch.

I spotted a video posted by Google about the Web experience on Android below for your review.
