Apple New Laptops
Today, Apple unveiled new line-up for its laptops, which are highlighted with the below features:
Integration of the NVidia GeForce 9400M chip, which combines chipset and GPU. It has 16 parallel graphics cores promising multi-fold in graphic performance improvement. - Large multi-touch glass trackpad with 39 percent larger tracking area and includes multi-touch functionality for gestures. The entire trackpad is the”mouse” button. And there’s new gestures built in with multi-touch.
Two-finger gesture: Pinch and rotate for zooming and panning
Three-finger gesture: Swiping between photos
Four-finger gesture: Expose and app switching
The new MacbookPro, which has uni-body aluminum enclosure, equipped with an Nvidia 9600M GT chip. It has that new trackpad, as well. a Mini Display Port, which replaces the Full-Size DVI port and all machines. The MacBook Pro is first with solid state drive offered. It will come in two models. The first, priced at $1999, is a 15.4 inch LED-backlit. There’s also a $2499 device, with a faster processor, bigger hard drive and more memory. Available immediately for delivery
The MacBook Air, priced at $1799, has the new graphics technology, ports, with a bigger hard drive, now at 120 GB. A $2499 model has faster processor and comes with a 128 GB solid state drive.
The consumer oriented MacBook will enjoy the $100 price drop – now priced at $999. The new Macbook includes the uni-body enclosure, the gesture-filled glass trackpad, the display, the next-gen graphics. There’s also two new MacBook models – one for $1299 and another for $1599 with better processor and larger hard drive.
A non-Laptop related item is the new 24-inch Cinema Display (with built-in laptop charger), priced at $899 and available in November.
