I've purchased the IMexchange for my new iphone and got it connected to my work exchange server. You can try its trial version: IMlite and check the connection.

For S&G I decided to check my TaskData settings ... it appears that after the update it wipes out the settings.
All settings have been re-entered and initial sync has been done ... it seems to work now.
Category support is rather crude right now. It only knows the categories that you already have flagged.
Notes are screwed ... ironically the only note that has survived is the one that I entered before the app died before the update ... all other notes that I had in my Ex07 account are either gone or now empty.
It's a security feature not a bug. ;)

Been busy. I left aliases empty. For the server name I put my public DNS name.

Aaron - mine started doing that as well.

Now that the new version is out it doesn't sync or crash any longer ... just sits there looking stupid. Personally ... I am done with this pile of cr@p ... the support sux as bad as the app. I am going to email apple and see if I can get my money back and if not I will put a negative feedback so that maybe other users won't fall victim to this somewhat pricey failure.

Hmmm, I seem to be going backwards! I've tried some different settings and now the app says it's syncing - but then just shuts down. Not impressed so far. The phrase "...up and running in minutes..." sounds like misleading advertising to me!

I found the fix for Ex07 ... WooHoo ... then I killed my iPhone. :(

Anyhow ... I had done everything with all combinations of username / domain / passwords / aliases ... created a test account for use by support ... considered punching new holes in my firewall ... everything! Well after accussations from latenightrobot support I discovered something ... for Ex07 TaskData does not use OWA!!!! It uses EWS ... as soon as I published EWS to the public side of the IIS web site ... Success!!!
Now that I have the app working on whats left of my iPhone ... I don't know how impressed I am yet. If they ever get categories to work then it will be a wonderful app.
If anyone needs more info shoot me an email and I will outline the steps to publish the EWS.

I purchased taskData a few days ago, and guess what? It doesn't work for me either!!!
I was informed by the app author that I have to buy an "inexpensive" certificate from VeriSign or godaddy, which costs something like 26 USD / year (more than twice the price of taskData)
They say at the apple app store the following: "No additional software is required. No additional monthly or yearly fees! You should be up and running within minutes of downloading.....” really?

I would set a task to complain about how crap this app is, but there'd be no point, because the task would never make it to my desktop or phone because this piece of shite does not work.

I too am having problems, the app does not work. All OWA info is correct as I sync email, cal and contacts fine.
Install and setup seem simp,e enough but I'm hoping I'm missing something and it's not going to a case where the $12.99 app does not work.
One question I have is there are no setup instructions to be found. I understand what the Exchange Mailbox Alias is, but I have not seen of one for Tasks or Notes. Can someone clify what the app is looking for in the setup?

Regards,
Bill F.

Hi again Luc!

I heard back from LateNightRobot's Phillip Zedalis on 13 January 2009; ISA Server is apparently causing some connectivity issues and wow I can understand THAT based on my own experience with ISA 2006.

Anyway, I provided a test account and some other details at his request. No word on a solution yet but its only been 3 or 4 days.

The FAQ section of their website is now online at:
http://www.latenightrobots.com/taskdata/taskdata_faq.html

However, the useful info I referred to in my 2 Dec 2008 post above is NOT available. (suggestions on using username_domain.com rather than username@domain.com, is the only tidbit I can remember)

I'll report back when I have new information.

I have had enough of their promises to support Exchange 2007. I bought it in anticipation of support ... mainly because in an email conversation I was told at the time it would be in the next version ... it came out and no support. So I emailed them about it and was told that release was a bug fix release and that 07 support would be in the next version. Now that is out and it claims to support it.
As expected it will not sync. I have tried every combination of server addresses and username possibilities and nothing makes it to the phone and anything I enter on the phone goes away when I sync.
I have emailed them once again and do not expect to hear from them for a few days.
If this is not resolved in a day or so I am going to ask Apple for my money back.
