DailyMotion Debuts HQ Videos
DailyMotion, the popular French Flash-base video site just made all their videos available in HQ (High Quality) encoding. DM also features a limited number of contents in HD format from their partner.
DM/HQ is using H.264, which is now the leading video encoding standard for the Web. It offers better quality using the same bandwidth as standard quality. The sound quality format uses AAC 96 kbps audio encoding, so music videos never sounded so good! Bass is deeper and midrange is crisper.
High Quality brings higher resolution (512-by-384-pixels) at up to 30 frames per second (fps) for users with a broadband connection (520 kbps connection or higher), Flash Player 9 and a computer with a dual-core processor.
