Motorola is Prep’ing its Android Powered Phone
There is no secret that Motorola is beefing up its the Android team to prepare for a launch of its own Power Android phone. BusinessWeek has reported some further details
The Android handset will feature a touch screen about the size of those on Apple’s iPhone, people familiar with the phone say. While it takes some of the design cues from Krave ZN4 that Verizon released last week.
Furthermore the Motorola Krave ZN4 (shown on left photo) was built on the Ming platform, which has been hugely popular in Asia, perhaps due to the fact it runs on a flavor of Linux and its cool clear flip cover carrying the earpiece/logo that is connected almost wirelessly (there are actually hair-thin wires) with the body of the phone. We can speculatively think, the new Android phone with be similar to the Ming with addition of the sliding keyboard under.
As we know the HTC Dream dubbed as G-Mobile G1 does not really create a “WOW” factor in the hardware design department. We hope this time, Motorola will create something with better aesthetically designed.
On the OS side, since the new phone will be riding on the open source Android, Motorola is reportedly adding the secret sauce of Social Networking integration to tie with Facebook, MySpace, etc.. The release will be sometime next year!
