iPhone 2.2 Firmware New Features

Last month, Apple sent out the beta of iPhone OS 2.2 to app developers and we should expect few details have started leaking out such Google Street view, Audio-line-in and Podcast direct download over the air.

The latter explains the cause of controversial issue when Apple refused to feature a similar third party app that provides similar function.

Apparently, the restriction of 10MB podcast download over 3G (however unlimited download size over Wifi) will be imposed at launch. If it is true, 3G download will be considered a “review” of the content and Apple hopes if you are hooked, you can always go back on desktop side to subscribe the Podcast.
