Photosynth Mashed Up with Windows Live Maps

image Photosynth! The Microsoft Live Labs technology, that lets user generate a 3-D composite images based on 2-D pictures, has come to Live Maps (Microsoft online Maps service).  You’d need to install the PhotoSynth viewer on your desktop. (more coverage on Photosynth HERE)

Find a location (e.g., Leaning tower of Pisa), Click on explore collection

On the top left margin, click on Photo Synth button

you can choose to display pushpins for each Photosynth available in that area. You then just click the “launch Photosynth viewer” link to dive in and start exploring those synths.

You can try this now in Seattle, in Cairo at the Sphinx, in Vatican city,
