Samsung Omnia Will be Available on Verizon Wireless
For a mere $250 (with 2-year contract and rebate), Verizon customers will be able to grab the 5MP camera, 8GB of internal memory Samsung Omnia Windows Mobile Smartphone.
The OMNIA is a full touchscreen running WM6.1 with an UI camouflage a la HTC Touch. The device comes with a 5MP CMOS auto-focus camera with face and smile detection, panorama shot, 624MHz CPU, GPS, Memory slot supporting SDHC and comes with 8GB and 16GB internal flash memory (being the Apple iPhone supplier there are few insider benefits…) and a brand new UI called TouchWiz. On the multimedia side XviD, DivX, H.264, MP4, FM RDS, Bluetooth A2DP with TV out. Auto rotation screen at almost perfect 3.2” WQVGA (240×400) 6:9 widescreen size for movie fan.
