YouTube Live is Live

If you visit YouTube lately, you must notice the YouTube Live banner  on top right of your display. Traditionally YouTube is know for to upload and watch user generated video. But YouTube Live is  live streaming video. Last night YouTube gathered up its viral celebrities to stream its first-ever live event on Saturday from San Francisco.

It was a mix of concert, variety show and party, the event brought to life many of the amazing videos and talent that YouTube viewers have watched million times.

YouTube Live Channel featured three different views of the event–from the main stage, backstage, and "off stage."

YouTube’s first adventure into live broadcasting/streaming comes as Google (YouTube is owned by Google) tries to monetizing on its popularity by letting advertisers "sponsor" videos and bid on key words people use for searches on the site.
