Contrary to popular belief: WalMart will sell the iPhone at $198 and $297
Starting this Sunday Dec 28, all 2500 WalMart stores will sell the 2 existing iPhones with AT&T contract required at $198 and $297 for the 8GB and 16GB iPhone models respectively.
Wal-Mart confirms the news: "We are delighted to bring customers this ground-breaking mobile technology," Gary Severson, Walmart’s senior vice president of entertainment, said in a statement. "Our electronics associates have been preparing for many weeks for the arrival of iPhone 3G. We are excited to now help new customers learn more about the features and services that make the iPhone unique."
