Different kind of TouchScreen for Fatfinger

We have seen stylus, capacitive touchscreen, etc..but a new technology is emerging to address the smaller screen and the obstruction of the finger on the display itself (e.g, soft keyboard on the iPhone) .

”It is often assumed that touch-screen device can be made smaller, because they do away with the need for buttons. But paradoxically, they are often larger than the push button gadgets they replace” Patrick Baudisch at the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam, Germany, and Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington.

The new technology consists of the see-through display and the touch sensor is located behind the device.  Watch the below video for further explanation. Video after the jump!
