So long Xohm, Hello clear!

Clearwire and Sprint-Nextel announced today the new "Clear" brand to represent the new Wimax services.

The partnership  will retain the Clearwire name and offer mobile WiMax under the Clear brand. as a result Sprint Nextel’s XOHM name will be phasing out.

The mobile WiMax technology promises download speeds of 2 to 4 megabits per second. for data transmission and later developing a nationwide 4G wireless broadband network using WiMax, which aims to run five times faster than 3G technology.
