During this uncertain economy, if you have been using Flickr.com as your main depository, you might want to consider keeping an offline copy of your works. gHacks.net and Richover at PCMenga discovered an easy way to create a backup of a Flickr account.

imageThe utility Downloadr could be your weapon of choice. The utility can save pictures as a result of search by fulltext, users, tags, places, sets,etc. You be presented with 250 photos/page to download.

Of course you can give your Flickr credentials and Downloadr batch download your photos. The utility can handle large amount of photos without problem. The download of the software program will download a file called updatr which has to be executed to download the rest of the program files.
