DJ Party Mixer is a music mixing tool for Windows Mobile phones. You can compile and edit playlists, mix mp3s in real time, both fully automatic, and manually. It allows you to play with your music collection, throw a dance party or just use it for fun. Enjoy this on Windows Mobile! (Apple does not allow this program on their iPhone app store).

Please leave a comment, if you are interest in a reader contest for a free copy of this program!

image DJ Mixer is a fun tool for music lovers. You can set cue points of mp3 tracks, sort playlists, count the beats per minute and much more. It’s like a virtual DJ mixing console, in the palm of your hand.

Make smooth transitions from one music track to the other by setting the start-
and end-points of every mp3 file on your phone. Create automatic playlists and watch the faders mix your tunes in real time. Or mix manually at a any given moment.

Professional features such as loops are fully supported. Also included are 40 sound effects, like explosions, horns, station calls, jingles, and so on. The music can be played over the phone’s speakers, via headphones or to an amplifier with a lead-out cable. The integrated beat-counter lets you determine the speed of songs in beats-per-minute for optimal synchronization.  There are two modes for the faders:

  • Cross-fading. The two faders are linked together. When you slide one fader
up, the other one goes down and vice-versa.
  • Free-fading. The two faders can be moved independently.

The software is only $12.99 / 9.95 EUR and a free trial is available HERE!

I bought the program and i have to admit that this is a realy simple program. too simple. you can’t make playlist. You can’t search fot a file. You can’t order the list by title or artist. You can’t see the ‘genre’. You cannot save a playlist. To move between songs it takes a lot of time.
And yes it is nice to see the mix-panel, but that is also the only thing that is worth buying it.
I’m disappointed, because it is the very first program in years that is made for windows mobile and that make it possible to MIX.
But for me there is still a long way to go.
I’m looking forward to the improvements.

WHAT A RIP OFF!!!
I found no warning that you need to be connected to the Internet to use this software. I purchased it to use on my PDA, using Windows Mobile 6. I rarely, if ever, connect it to the Internet. If I were to have installed it on my mobile, it would still have been a rip off!
I never use my phone to connect to the Internet. I’ve even disabled that function on my phone.
Seems that these software developers are expect users to be on the Internet each time they use their software. THAT’S ASKING WAY TO MUCH! I wasted £7.00 for NOTHING!!!

From the manuel:

“In order to activate and use the software, you must be connected to the internet. Your activation key will be checked online, everytime you use DJ Mixer.”

This warning should always be at the beginning of product description. Not in the user manual after you purchased it!
