LinkedIn is coming to Lotus Notes

At the next Lotusphere event, IBM will announce its new partnership with LinkedIn for tighter integration with Lotus Notes, the email, calendar, IM and collaboration suite that was designed by Ray Ozzie initially. The partnership involves a plug-in that integrates its professional social network provided by LinkedIn into Lotus Notes. Currently, Lotus Notes offers directory service but mostly internal to the corporate users. This integration will extent user’s “inner circle” beyond the corporate premises. Outlook users have been able to connect to LinkedIn by installing a plug-in called Xobni.  [Via Techcrunch]
