Ford unveiled a new version of the SYNC 3.0 technology that comes on the 2010 model year (Ford, Lincoln and Mercury). This is an upgrade from last year  SYNC and now includes features like personalized news, traffic reports, and turn-by-turn directions. SYNC also works with mobile phones to enable hands-free calling and media control.

When people purchase a new Ford, they will get the first 3 year service free. (no subscription details available beyond the 3rd year). But foe 36 month leasing customers, a cool thing is all customization will be kept on their phone and can be transferred to the new Sync capable vehicle.  SYNC users simply pair their Bluetooth-enabled phone with SYNC and activate the service via www.syncmyride.com
