I think killing google notebook was a mistake. I’m on that as much as gmail. i’m sure it wasn’t generating revenue; so i can understand modifying it to have ads which is fine… read my bookmarks and notes and place an add at the top or something. just one streaming add would at least keep it from being killed 100%… I sure as heck hope they announce a few weeks in advance if they do kill the whole thing i’ve got alot!!!! of data on there. i’m still holding out hope they keep it alive and re-open it later on.

Not so great if you use a Mac, like I do, that hasn’t been upgraded to Leopard yet. No need to upgrade really, but programs like Evernote won’t work with Tiger.

I think you’ll find Evernote does a splendid job in place of Google Notebooks. I quit using GN in favor of Evernote some time ago and have been quite happy with it. And according to a tweet from Evernote, they’re planning a way to migrate Google Notebooks into Evernote.
