Search Engine Plug-ins
A search engine plug-in allows you to access a search engine directly from your browser. In Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 you use the search bar at the top right. Microsoft appears to prefer the term Search Provider but there is no difference in function. There are also tools to add search capability to right click menus and other locations.
Firefox only offers limited search engines, but if you want more choices, please visit http://mycroft.mozdev.org/index.html, click on Google for instance, you will be able to choose all the searches that Google is offering – in several languages (I didn’t know there are that many from Google!). Click on any of your choice will insert that search to the search box of Firefox. By the way, you can replace the old Google icon with the new colorful Google icon 
by deleting the old one and add the new one with mycroft.
