Tip: New Year Resolution #3 – Clean up Your Desktop Icons
Take a look at all the icons on your desktop computer. It is good to re-arrange, file, delete them to boost your productivity. If you don’t want to file them in your My Documents folder (for easy backup) then you can easily “un-cluttered” them by creating few folders by category (right mouse click on your desktop-> New -> Folder; give it a name); move your icons in the newly created folders.
For the program shortcuts that you are afraid to put them somewhere that you can’t find later. Just use Launchy utility. Any time just tap alt+spacebar, type in what you want to launch even in fussy word, Launchy will find the program and launch for you. (Launchy looks in browser bookmarks and My Document folders too!)
